LOCATED IN THE FINE ARTS BUILDING 410 S MICHIGAN AVE, SUITE 306SOFT RETURN is a meditation on what it means to come back—to place, to practice, to self.

Featuring work by Cranbrook alumni across disciplines, the exhibition explores the tenderness of re-entry and the transformations that occur through distance, change, and time. Each piece holds a trace of process: an echo, a residue, a quiet renewal.

In this collective homecoming, return becomes both subject and material—a gesture of reflection, an act of persistence, a reintroduction to what still moves beneath the surface.
